English for the job you already have.
Study7 teaches working English to people across Southeast Asia — at hotel front desks, in restaurants and guesthouses, in shops, offices and clinics. Twenty minutes a day, on your phone, between shifts.
The course
Guest-Ready English
20 lessons · CEFR A2 · hotel, guesthouse and tourism staff
Taking the desk
Introducing yourself, checking a guest in, handling questions at the counter.
The room and the stay
Describing the room, explaining breakfast, answering requests.
Helping guests explore
Giving directions, recommending places nearby, talking about what there is to do.
When things go wrong
Complaints, accessibility questions, emergencies, checking out.
We build one course at a time, for one kind of job at a time.
Most English apps teach you to describe your bedroom and name farm animals. That is fine if you are twelve. It is not much use at seven in the morning when a guest is at the counter asking whether they can leave their bags until the evening bus.
Every dialogue in Study7 is set in a workplace you would recognise, in this region, with the vocabulary you would actually need.
How it works
Start in the right place
A short placement check puts you on the CEFR scale from A1 to B2 and recommends where to begin.
One lesson, one break
Lessons run about twenty minutes. Language is taught in context first, then practised, then used.
Listen to real speech
Our listening tasks use natural connected speech at normal pace, not slow textbook reading.
Hear yourself speak
Record your answer, play it back, and compare it with a model.
